SwemaMan 8 is a micromanometer designed for accurate ventilation testing, adjustment and balancing (TAB), aswell as for industry and research applications.

The instrument has a built-in differential pressure sensor and a zeroing valve for automatic zero pressure check. It measures air flow according to EN 16211 and 12599. Air velocity is measured with a pitot-static tube. Air flow is displayed from air velocities across an area or measured on a valve with k-factor. The included barometer and thermocouple automatically compensate the velocity and flow for air density. SwemaMan 8 displays minimum, maximum and average values. The measurements can be stored and transferred to a PC.

Air velocity: approx. 2...49 m/s, 390...9600 fpm (calculated)
Barometer: 600...1200 hPa, 18...35 inHg (integrated)
Temperature: 0...+50 °C, 32...122 °F (standard curve, Thermo couple connector type K)

Measurement Uncertainty at 23°C ±5°C:
Differential pressure: ±0,3% read value, min ±0,4Pa
Barometer: ±2,5hPa
Temperature Thermo couple type K input: ±1°C, see sensor

Uncertainty according to GUM (JCGM 100ː2008) using a coverage factor of 2, which for a normal distribution corresponds to a probability of 95%. It is important to correct the measurement values with the corrections stated in the calibration certificate to obtain the above uncertainties.

Measuring metods:
The micromanometer measures differential pressure. Together with a pitot-static tube the air velocity and air flow in a ventilation duct is calculated. (according to EN 16211 method ID 1) At a supply, exhaust valve or in-duct valve measurement with k-factor and differential pressure can be used. (EN 16211 method ST 1, ET 1, ID 3).
